Wake up to Life: Life Guidance with the End in Mind Working with Death is really all about working with Life. How are you showing up for your Life? My wish is that all beings can awaken to the opportunity of living their best Life starting right now so that when it's time to move toward Death they can do so without the weight of regret, but with a heart filled with gratitude, peace, and love.
This program offers a way of checking in with your Life, as you're experiencing it and living it right now. This is not only for folks facing imminent death, illness, or recent diagnosis, but for anyone interested in living their best and most fulfilling life starting today.
Even if we're given a terminal diagnosis, none of us knows how long our life will be. Planning for life with the end in mind can have profound and meaningful impact. So with this practice, even if you are at your optimal health, I ask you to imagine that you have three months to live...
Together we will explore the following five domains of your life to see that you are honouring what is most important to you in each.
Physical: Creating comfort and safety and a healing environment Emotional: Honouring feelings and relationships Spiritual: Honouring beliefs and practices Mental: Legacy life review : What are you leaving behind? Practical: Preparing for Death and honouring the body after Death
Format: This is a personalized care plan done over several weeks one on one. We begin with a 30 minute consultation to chat more about the Wake up to Life course and how it will unfold. I will give you a handout with prompt questions to get you thinking about the five domains of life and what matters most to you before we meet for each session.
For each of the five domains of life we will meet for 1.5 hours to clarify and prioritize your values. Bi-weekly meetings are encouraged.
We end with a 30 minute review of your life plan which gives us time to refine your vision if need be.
Time commitment: Approximately 8 hours of in-person or Skype discussion. You will also be creating action steps, which you will complete as homework separate from our time together.
